John Deere introduces the new SL PrecisionCut Walk Greens Mowers for model year 2011. The 220SL and 260SL are now available for ordering.
This innovative design takes the patented Speed Link™ technology from the Quick Adjust 5 and Quick Adjust 7 cutting units and applies it to the traditional fixed walk-behind greens mower line. The addition of this patented feature allows for quick and easy changes of small or large height-of-cut adjustments, meaning time and money savings for the golf course.
But the time savings don’t just stop there. The new patented front roller bracket makes it easy to change front roller types during the heat of the growing season. This advanced design allows for the front roller to be removed by just removing two screws with minimal changes to height of cut. This provides more control for golf courses during the ever-changing conditions of the growing season.
The 220SL also has an optional out front push brush to help stand up grass prior to cutting while at the same time keeping the rear roller base of the machine short.
The SL models also incorporate many popular features from the previous walk mower models, including:
- Quiet, powerful Honda™ engine
- Controls that all engage forward for mowing
- Patented engine isolator system for reduced handlebar vibration
- Standard oil drain channel
- Dual traction rolls for differential steering
NOTE: Availability of the new 180SL is still pending.
